What does worship look like at Village Church Vinings?
The earliest Christians met together each week as friends, joining in prayer, Scripture and song, and sharing a holy meal together in the transcendent presence of God. We continue to worship in this tradition every Sunday at 10:30AM.
An Ancient-Future Approach
We are a liturgical church. Our worship services follow the same basic outline as most Christian churches since the days of the earliest Christians. At the same time, we fill in the details of the service with the music and language of the present. It’s easy to follow along using the printed service bulletin provided as you enter.
So in short, our Sunday worship gatherings are simple, liturgical, and rooted in the Anglican tradition. We sing to God together, read the Bible, pray together, hear a sermon based on a passage in the Bible, and take communion together.
Children are welcome in our worship services, and they’re welcome to attend a children’s church during part of the service for kids 10 and under. Read more about our Sunday children’s programs.
Come As You Are
You may wear whatever you like; some people dress more casually and others dress more formally.
We meet each Sunday morning for Sunday Small Groups at 9:15AM (nursery/children) and 9:30AM for adults and Sunday Worship from 10:30AM to 12PM at North Atlanta High School, 4111 Northside Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30327.
